This week our class traveled to Ottawa for the annual 5th grade Soil and Water Conservation field trip. We visited Ellerbrock's dairy farm and the Ottawa Park. The class moved around 10 different stations learning about different ways to improve their environment and to gain an understanding of conservation. The following is a list of presentations that the class participated in:

- animals that live in our region (beaver, skunk, coyote,...)
- forestry
- edible bugs
- soils in Putnam County
- corn
- tour of a dairy barn
